AFI 100 Years 100 Movies

So as a recent Film Graduate and Movie lover, I have taken it upon myself and accepted the challenge of watching all 100 of the AFI top 100 list. These top 100 Films range from as early as 1916 (Intolerance) to a recent as 2001 (Lord of the Rings Fellowship of the Rings). Some are action, some are comedy, some are musicals. Regardless of the genre all 100 will be watched.
If anyone is interested in checking out the list this is the link. CLICK HERE.
I encourage all film lovers to check it out. Odds are you have seen some of them but you may find a few that you haven't. Enjoy

I wanted to write up a discussion that is a little different than the current new stuff that has been coming out. I want to discuss films that are very close to you. Something that has affected you a little more than most.

The first on my list is "Dragonheart." Discussion below.

IMDB Plot Summary: In 1974, a hot-headed 19 year old named Michael Peterson decided he wanted to make a name for himself and so, with a homemade sawn-off shotgun and a head full of dreams he attempted to rob a post office. Swiftly apprehended and originally sentenced to 7 years in jail, Peterson has subsequently been behind bars for 34 years, 30 of which have been spent in solitary confinement. During that time, Michael Petersen, the boy, faded away and 'Charles Bronson,' his superstar alter ego, took center stage. Inside the mind of Bronson - a scathing indictment of celebrity culture

Green Zone

The newest film from Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon.

Public Enemies

So I thought I'd post about a movie I disliked for once... I saw this quote today and I thought of this film: "Michael Mann told me that people experience movies *backward*, as they leave the theater; the climax/ending is really the beginning."
